Prospective Students

I am always looking for talented and self-motivated undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students to conduct cutting-edge research on the following topics: (1) Extreme-Scale Optical Computing, (2) In-Memory Computing, (3) Stochastic Computing, (4) Integrated Photonics, and (5) Neuromorphic Computing with Emerging Materials and Devices. I am looking for students with one or more of the following skill sets:

  • programming with one or more of the following: C/C++/Python/SystemC/VHDL/Verilog
  • deep learning, AI
  • computer architecture design
  • nanofabrication (e.g., CMOS, silicon and/or III-V photonics)
  • proficiency in verbal and written communication
